Dunbarton’s Hollow Metal Doors provide years of maintenance-free performance. These doors are perfect for a wide array of applications in commercial, multi-family, industrial, and institutional buildings. LS Series Doors are available in 18 & 16 GA and can be fire-rated up to 3 hours.
Dunbarton’s masonry and drywall series frames are also designed for standard and heavy-duty applications and will provide years of maintenance-free performance. These door frames are perfect for a wide array of applications in commercial, multi-family, industrial, and institutional buildings. Dunbarton Door Frames are available in 18 & 16 GA and can be fire-rated for up to 3 hours.
Hurricane Testing
Dunbarton Hollow Metal offers many options for FBC (Florida Building Code) and TDI (Texas Department of Insurance). Hurricane Opening options include impact, design pressures, and HVHZ (High-Velocity Hurricane Zones) with numerous door options.
Fire Testing
Dunbarton Hollow Metal pledges to stay ahead of the field when it comes to fire ratings. We have taken the initiative to pass the most stringent and difficult fire tests to acquire the Warnock Hersey standard in both neutral (UL 10B) and positive (UL 10C) pressure fire ratings.
Durability
Dunbarton Hollow Metal doors and frames carry a Certification of Level A 1,000,000 opening and closing cycles (ANSI 250.5–1994).
Finishes
Prefinished Hollow Metal Doors and Frames are available in eight standard colors. “Custom Color” selections can easily be matched to ensure the finished product will meet the requirements of the designer. Dunbarton hollow metal is finished in a state-of-the-art paint conveyor line with electrostatically applied, baked-on enamel. This ensures complete coverage of the frame with a “best in the industry” paint finish. Dunbarton’s hollow metal comes standard with A40 zinc-coated galvannealed steel that combined with our factory paint system give maximum rust protection.
The Dunbarton factory-applied paint finish meets or exceeds 500 hour salt spray test per ASTM–B117-97. This is four times the requirement of hollow metal frames per SDI (Steel Door Institute) of 125 hours. Dunbarton painted finishes also passed a 700 hour humidity test per ASTM–D1735-87.
