Dunbarton Update

The Dunbarton facility in Dothan, AL, is running and producing products. We are working overtime in manufacturing and the plan is to be close with on time shipments by August 21st. Like most companies in today’s world we are struggling with absenteeism and continue to work through it.  Truck availability is another issue we have experienced in the past few weeks and is magnified when shipments are running late.  We are working closely with our trucking partners to get around this.  

With any scenario, we have built-in limited flexibility, so if you have any questions on individual orders, feel free to contact your Dunbarton sales representative or customer service professional.

Dunbarton will continue to work hard at being your number one partner in supplying quality building materials. We know that your success at keeping your customers happy is the key to our success as a company.

Dunbarton Partners,
As of today, Thursday, March 26, Dunbarton is still open for business. We are experiencing the same issues as most companies in the United States but continue to operate and ship product. All Dunbarton employees will continue to work hard to keep our acknowledged ship dates. Lead times may extend out in the future, and we will communicate any changes as they arise.
We continue to make alternative “what-if” contingencies, but our plan is to remain open and continue to ship product. As the situation evolves, and it will, we will have further updates.

Dunbarton Partners,
As we go forward in this ever-changing world of COVID – 19, let’s take a moment and focus on what we see as critical items to prepare for in our markets.  There will be delays at jobsites because of this crisis.  Keep in mind that Dunbarton will do everything in its power to help when we can.  But we have limited space for storage of material at our facility.  We ask that you monitor your projects and keep us informed of any changes to delivery dates.  Changes the week of a scheduled shipment will be too late for us to adjust our manufacturing and combo truck planning.  Communicate any changes with us as soon as you can so we can give you the best options available.
We hope you and your family members are all safe in this time of uncertainty.  If we all work together, we can get through this crisis together.  Dunbarton will be sending out regular communications to keep all of you informed of any possible changes if they happen.  Feel free to ask us if you are unsure of anything with your orders.

Dear Dunbarton Partners,
The world health community continues to monitor closely the emergence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and the disease it causes, named “coronavirus disease 2019” (COVID-19). At this time, no one knows how severe this outbreak will be. Given this uncertainty and the fact that the seasonal influenza (flu) virus is also widespread, we are taking proactive steps to address several business concerns. First and foremost, we want to maintain a safe workplace and encourage and adopt practices protecting the health of employees, customers, visitors, or others. We also want to ensure the continuity of business operations in the event of a pandemic.  To that end, we source all raw materials from domestic sources and have many months of inventory in a master state.  These actions allow Dunbarton Corporation the flexibility to allocate our raw materials based on current demands along with taking into account total need over the lead time for replenishment stock.  By proactively protecting ourselves by taking care of our employees and our supply channels, we are confident that we are prepared to supply quality frame and door products within our current lead times for the foreseeable future.
