RediFrame | RediFlex Wood Stud Application

Dunbarton RediFrame and RediFlex may be installed with different wall conditions. The frame sleeves over the drywall and is installed after the wall is painted and may be attached to virtually any type of construction material.

EXTERIOR APPLICATION: RediFrame and RediFlex may be used for exterior openings if installed per factory instructions! Be sure to use an appropriate flashing method. Frames sleeve over a finished wall and all water must be directed to the outside of the frame.

Wood Studs & Drywall Recommended Fasteners: 1-1/4” (32) (min.) Drywall Screws, Coarse Threads or 8D Common Nail

Note: ON FIRE-RATED FRAMES, fasteners must be a minimum of 1/2” (13) longer than the thickness of the drywall or sheathing applied to the stud.

RediFrame | RediFlex Metal Stud Application

Dunbarton RediFrame and RediFlex may be installed to the wall using a metal stud similarly to that of the wood stud. The frame sleeves over the finished wall and is installed after the wall is painted and may be attached to virtually any type of construction material.

EXTERIOR APPLICATION: RediFrame and RediFlex may be used for exterior openings if installed per factory instructions! Be sure to use an appropriate flashing method. Frames sleeve over a finished wall and all water must be directed to the outside of the frame.

Metal Stud Application RediFram Top Down

Metal Studs & Drywall Recommended Fasteners: 1-1/4” (32) (min.) Type “S” Bugle Head Self-Tapping Screws

NOTE: ON FIRE-RATED FRAMES, fasteners must be a minimum of 1/2” (13) longer than the thickness of the drywall or sheathing applied to the stud.

RediFrame | RediFlex Masonry Application

Masonry application involves attaching a wood buck to the block/concrete wall for the frame opening. For fire-rated frames, sheetrock must be applied to both sides of the wood buck.
